     -I lost a friend today.  A small pint sized friend of over 19 years who had been my source of comfort from the world and reality.  She drove me nuts with knocking over things, scratching walls & doors and many other things.  But those things helped me care more about my world and how precious she was in it.   I had to let her go this morning and that was one of the hardest things I have had to do in a long time.  As human beings we want to hold onto our loved ones for as long as we can.  Even at the point when they might not be living as comfortably as before. I pray she is at comfortable eternal rest and that she has moved on ahead

Turning 40

I wake up this morning a day after turning 40. I'm not sure what to say really at the start of this journal.  There is the part of you that misses being younger.  Wanting to still be able to eat whatever you want, drink whatever you want, not do anything anybody else tells you to do and be the eternal rebel until death stares at you from six feet under ground. That being a rebel doesn't work for the long term maintenance.  You just die much sooner then you should.  I have lived somewhat by restraint during my early years but still was able to do enough things that I do not feel any sense of regret.   -Hi all, * I'm in my late 30's soon to be 40 and I still collect comic books.  :D  I prefer to have actual pages to flip but I have a few digital issues already of different comic series.   My current mainstream favorite would be Transformers regeneration 1 by IDW.  The series follows the 1980-1990's marvel comic series that died before its time.  The story has been fun to follow and they have a pretty good encyclopedia of the different transformer characters.   The series is on graphic novel #3 and I hope they can keep going for as long as they can.  :) * The Star Wars comic series printed by Dark Horse has been fun to read as well.  The
